Pastor JO oversees our Counseling Ministry and has a heart for the practical application of God’s Word to everyday life. His desire is to see people glorify God through obedience to Jesus Christ and His all-sufficient Word.

BIO
JO was born and raised in Idaho and came to believe the gospel of Jesus Christ through the faithful witness of local churches in Southeast Idaho and around the world. After high school he attended the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy on Long Island, NY where he met his wife, Dana. He served in the US Navy for 9 years as a helicopter pilot before making the career change to full time ministry.
JO has earned an MA in Biblical Counseling from the Masters University in Santa Clarita, CA, an M.Div from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY, and has been a certified member of the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC) since 2007. He has served local churches as a youth pastor, a senior pastor, and a counseling pastor.
JO and Dana have four adult children and enjoy spending time together as a family.
JO’s hobbies include backpacking, everything outdoors, playing and watching sports, reading, and traveling with his wife.
